Locksmith in Clearwater, FL
Locked out on Gulf-to-Bay, or staring at a car whose only key is somewhere under the sand? We’re a licensed mobile locksmith in Clearwater — we drive over from our Largo shop, cut and program keys at your vehicle, and tell you the price before anyone touches a lock. Open 8am–8pm, seven days.

Car keys, house locks, and storefront doors
Three things bring in most of our Clearwater work. Pick the one that matches your morning.
Car keys and lockouts
Keys locked in the car at the beach lot, a fob that quit in the Countryside parking deck, or a last remaining key that finally snapped. We cut and program on site, including transponder keys and push-to-start fobs.
Homes and condos
Rekeys after a closing, deadbolts that won’t throw because the door swelled in August, and lockouts on condos where the building manager is off for the day.
Shops, offices, and medical suites
Clearwater has a lot of small medical and professional offices. We rekey suites between tenants, repair storefront hardware, and set up master key systems so one key opens what it should and nothing else.
The Clearwater corridors we’re on most weeks
Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard and US 19 carry most of our Clearwater runs — they’re where the retail plazas, offices and older strip centers sit. Downtown Clearwater and the Cleveland Street blocks send us storefront and office work. Countryside is mostly homes, condos and the mall-area businesses around it.
Then there’s the beach. Crossing the Memorial Causeway during season is its own event, and we’d rather be honest about that than pretend traffic doesn’t exist. Call and we’ll tell you what the day actually looks like before you wait on us.
Before you call, it helps to know
- Whether any working key still exists
- The year, make and model if it’s a vehicle
- Whether you own, rent, or manage the property
- Where we can legally park near the door
Salt air chews through exterior hardware out here
This is the part people don’t expect. If your front door faces the Gulf, the hardware on it is aging faster than the same lock three miles inland. Salt gets into the cylinder, the pins start to drag, and one morning the key turns halfway and stops.
Usually that lock isn’t dead — it’s dirty and corroded. Sometimes we can clean and service it. Sometimes the cylinder is done and swapping it is the cheaper call. We’ll show you which one you’re looking at instead of just selling you a new handleset.
Same story on rental turnovers: if a unit sat closed up through the summer with the salt air working on it, budget for the lock to need more than a rekey. What a rekey involves is a fair place to start reading.
Clearwater locksmith questions, answered straight
Are you actually located in Clearwater?
No, and we won’t pretend otherwise. Our shop is at 141 1st Ave NW in Largo, about fifteen minutes down the road. Everything we do in Clearwater is mobile — the van comes to you.
Do you work on Clearwater Beach?
Yes, including the hotels and rental condos. Parking and causeway traffic are the two things that shape the day, so call and we’ll be straight with you about timing.
Are you a 24-hour locksmith?
No — and we’d rather say so up front than have you find out at 2am. We run 8am–8pm, seven days a week. If someone’s in danger or a child or pet is shut in a hot car, call 911 first; they get there faster than any locksmith can.
Can you tell me the price before you come out?
We can often give you a range on the phone once we know the vehicle or the hardware. The firm number comes after the technician looks at it, and you approve that number before any work starts.
What do I need to show you?
Proof the car or property is yours to open — photo ID plus a registration, lease, deed, or management letter. We check every time. It’s the same check that protects your door when someone else calls us about it.
